Discontinued-China.Net
Discontinued-China.Net is a MySql database driven site, partially written in PHP, listing discontinued tableware patterns and providing information for each, along with suggestions and advice as to where collectors may obtain replacements and additions to their dinner, tea and coffee services.
Due to the sheer scale of this project it has been on hold for some time. However, we are currently looking into the possibilities of turning this into a Web 2.0 inititiative with a view to better utilising the knowledge of the site visitor to build up the database.
In the meantime, we are using it to experiment with affiliate marketing strategies and placements.
